The 2016 college football season is just over half-complete, and a common question that arises with fans is when will the first College Football Playoff rankings be released? The short answer, is not until November 1st, 2016. Starting on the 1st, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will release the rankings every week at 7PM on ESPN until the final announcement occurs on December 4th at Noon. So far, Alabama looks like the clear overall #1 with a few weeks to go until the final rankings are released. There is still a lot of football to be played, but other major conference schools who remain in the mix with undefeated records at the time of this writing include: Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson, Washington, and Texas A&M. If Washington can remain undefeated throughout the rest of the season, the team has a great chance to inch up into the Playoff conversation with Ohio State still having to play Michigan and Alabama still to play Texas A&M. We will have to wait and see for what poses to be an exciting finish to the college football regular season.
