When is the 2014 NFL Draft?

The 2014 NFL Draft will be held on May 8th-10th, 2014 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. This will be the first time that the draft is held in early May vice late April due to scheduling conflicts with the venue. The NFL is using the scheduling conflict to make a permanent shift of the draft to May in future years as part of a major change to the NFL off-season calendar. The draft is officially called the “NFL Players Selection Meeting” and will be the 79th annual meeting of the franchises in the National Football League to select eligible football players.

How Many Underclassmen Have Declared for the 2014 NFL Draft?

For the 2014 NFL Draft, there are a record 98 underclassmen who have forgone their remaining college eligibility in order to enter the draft. This represents the highest total number of underclassmen to declare for the draft in the history of the NFL.

2014 NFL Draft Order

The 2014 NFL Draft order is primarily based on the results from the 2013-14 NFL regular season records. The last two picks in each round in the draft fall to the two Super Bowl teams from 2014. For the 2014 NFL Draft the Houston Texans have the overall #1 pick of the draft with the St. Louis Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars being the second and third overall picks in this year’s draft. The Seattle Seahawks will be the last team to pick in the draft since they won the 2014 Super Bowl.
