One of the most anticipated games of the second round of the 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament is the Indiana Hoosiers taking on the Kentucky Wildcats. We have included the Indiana vs Kentucky live stream information below for those who want to check out the game online below as well as the applicable radio streams for either Hoosier or Wildcat fans to enjoy. Each of the teams entered the 2016 edition of March Madness being under-seeded according to most basketball experts, and we are all looking forward to a game that would not normally be seen by college basketball fans before the Sweet 16 or later in the tournament.
How Did Both Teams Get Under-seeded?
The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee was anything but consistent this year in what postseason conference games were taken into account for March Madness seedings, and which were not. In the case of the Hoosiers, Indiana was able to win the Big Ten regular season, but they dropped a game to the Michigan Wolverines in the quarterfinals of the postseason tournament. Indiana quickly went from being ranked 10th in the country, to getting just a 5 seed. Kentucky could argue just the opposite. After winning their Conference Tournament, and arguably losing the regular season crown due to a controversial technical on the road at Texas A&M, it was as if the NCAA Selection Committee didn’t even watch the SEC Tournament since the Wildcats defeated A&M who was granted a higher seed than the Wildcats. Just to add insult to injury, the Wildcats were ranked five spots above A&M in the final AP Poll for the 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Season heading into the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
Indiana vs Kentucky Preview
Today’s game looks to be one of the most exciting in the 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Both IU and Kentucky took about a half of basketball to get going in the first round of the NCAA Tournament; however, IU Guard, Yogi Ferrell showed that he was ready for March Madness. During the season, he averaged 17.1 points per game, and 5.7 assists per game with a 3 point shooting percentage of 42 percent. IU will need him to perform, as the Wildcats close out the season winning 9 of their last 11 games, and are led by point guard Tyler Ulis who is averaging 17 points and 7.1 assists per game and shooting guard, Jamal Murray who is averaging 20.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
