2014 MLB Draft Results

The 2014 MLB Draft (First-Year Player Draft) took place between June 5th and June 7th, 2014. The purpose of the draft was to allow MLB teams to pick amateur baseball players for potential assignment. The first two rounds of the draft were held on June 5th. Rounds three through 10 were held on June 6th, and the final 30 rounds were held on June 7th. The draft was held in the reverse order of the 2013 MLB standings with the Houston Astros getting the first overall pick for the third straight year. The Astros picked high school, left handed pitcher,Brady Aiken with the first pick of the 2014 MLB draft.
