2003 NBA Draft Results

The 2003 NBA Draft took place on June 26th, 2003 and was held at The Theater located at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The 2003 NBA Draft results rival the 1996 and the 1984 NBA Drafts as one of the best of all time. Four of the top five picks in the draft are NBA All Stars and were members of the Olympic Redeem Team (LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade). There have been a total of nine all stars from this draft, and a number of players like Kyle Korver who have gone on to set records in their own right. Perhaps the most controversial pick from the draft was the Detroit Pistons selecting Darko Miličić with the second pick over other these all stars and other players. From the players picked in the draft, only Nick Collison and Dwayne Wade have played for the same team for their entire careers.
